🎉 On Tuesday 21st May, members and residents gathered at the Recreation Club for the Annual General Meeting of Nunthorpe & Marton Playing Fields Association – marking a remarkable ten months of progress since the charity’s new leadership took office in July 2024.
🗣️ Chair Chris Foggin shared the Annual Report, expressing confidence in the charity’s future and thanking volunteers, coaches, residents and partners for their vital contributions.
Key Milestones Celebrated:
• A community-led VE Day event
• Creation of Nunthorpe Rackets Club (squash & tennis merger)
• Refurbishment of the Recreation Club bar
• Return of Nunthorpe Athletic Junior Football
• Extensive safety, maintenance & garden improvements
• 🌳 Over 2,800 trees and bushes planted with Tees Valley Combined Authority
🎉 Grant funding secured from Persimmon Homes and ASDA Foundation
