The trustees of Nunthorpe Marton Playing Fields Association are delighted to celebrate the incredible volunteer work of Valerie and Stewart Wright, whose dedication and passion have transformed the entrance and car park areas of our premises into a beautiful landscape of rockery and bedding plants.
No matter the weather, Valerie and Stewart can often be seen tending to the area, carefully expanding and developing the planting spaces to create a more welcoming environment for members, visitors and the wider community. Their hard work has brought a touch of nature and vibrancy to the charity’s grounds, making a lasting impact.

This work forms a valuable part of the trustees’ wider strategy to enhance the charity’s buildings and facilities, ensuring they remain attractive, welcoming and well-maintained for all who use them.
To recognise their outstanding contribution, the trustees recently awarded funds to support their efforts by purchasing much-needed equipment. Additionally, a donation from the Recreation Club, combined with contributions from local residents, has helped ensure the continued growth and improvement of the planting area.
With Easter approaching, Stewart and Valerie remain eager to develop the space further, and they warmly welcome any kind offers of support from individuals or businesses who wish to contribute to this fantastic community project.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Valerie and Stewart for their unwavering dedication and to all those who have supported their efforts. Together, we are making a real difference to our community spaces.
