Nunthorpe, Marton & Ormesby residents and all NMPFA members are advised that the recent Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to discuss the proposed merger of the Squash and Tennis sections has been successfully concluded.
There was an overwhelming vote in favour of the merger, and the Committee Members of both sections are now working together on transitional arrangements to form Nunthorpe Rackets Club.
The Nunthorpe & Marton Playing Fields Association (NMPFA) and the newly formed Nunthorpe Rackets Committee are now working hard behind the scenes to successfully relaunch Tennis activities for both junior and senior players.
As part of this process, the tennis courts are currently undergoing a short period of maintenance to ensure they are in top condition for members and the community.

Additionally, ambitious redevelopment plans are being drawn up to improve the club’s facilities, with a focus on expanding racket sports opportunities.
This includes potential investments in new sports such as Padel, which would be a significant enhancement to local sporting options.
Full details on membership applications will be shared in due course, and we welcome any enquiries from residents interested in supporting this important community asset.
Regular updates will be provided to existing members and the wider community as plans progress.
For further information or enquiries, or indeed membership applications, please complete the Membership Form. Alternatively, you may directly contact the Rackets Section Membership Secretary, Martin Bradley.
For general enquires you can also contact the NMPFA.
