Statement from the Chairman, April 2025
As Chairman of NMPFA, I am pleased to share an update on the progress we have made over the past seven months. It has been a transformative period for the charity, and I want to begin by offering my heartfelt thanks to my fellow co-trustees. Their unwavering support and commitment have been invaluable. I also extend sincere appreciation to the many residents and members whose positivity and encouragement have fuelled our efforts.newly appoixnted trustees of the NMPFA have been working diligently to assess and stabilise the charity’s operations.
Nunthorpe & Marton Recreation Club
About Us
The Recreation Club is comfortable and well equipped, with a fully licensed bar, stocking alcoholic drinks, including draught & canned lager, wine & spirits, teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks.
There are regular social events including live music, bingo, quizzes and much more.
The main room can be hired for your own event (birthday parties, anniversaries, christenings, etc).
We have a pool table, darts and Sky Sports. A patio area with picnic benches is also a great viewing point for summer field matches.
Nunthorpe Squash Club
About Us
The club is widely recognised as having the best squash facilities in the area, boasting four England Squash Gold Standard courts (including one glass back) and an upstairs viewing gallery.
With a vibrant and growing membership base, the club offers a full calendar of sporting and social events. Its Junior section is renowned throughout the region for excellent coaching opportunities. Members also enjoy top-tier facilities, including men’s and ladies’ saunas, fitness room and table-tennis.

Nunthorpe Tennis Club
About Us
Nunthorpe Tennis Club is a small and friendly club located within the NMPFA Charity. Affiliated with the LTA, the club was founded in 196x and has a long and distinguished history. The club is currently undergoing a major upgrade and we will be looking to relaunch the tennis section shortly, but we are open to enquiries if you wish to know more about memberships.
The club has access to 7 courts, and there are plans in early 2025 to upgrade all facilities and introduce new sports – watch this space!
As part of NMPFA tennis membership, not only do you get access to 7 courts, but it will also includes squash and table tennis sports along with access to saunas, showers, male and female changing rooms.

North Yorks Moors Athletic Club
About Us
We are a friendly local club that caters to runners of all levels. Our coached sessions take place on Thursday evenings (6:30pm start). We meet at Nunthorpe Sports and Recreation Club, Guisborough Road, Nunthorpe.
Please come to whichever session suits you and ask for the road manager. *Please note that if you are coming along for the first time to try it, you are more than welcome to run with us. You can see if you like the club for up to 6 weeks. After this time, we would like to ask you to become a member.*
