About the Howdens Game Changer Project
The Howdens Game Changer project is a groundbreaking initiative designed to breathe new life into outdated kitchens. The charities mission was to blend design with practical solutions, ensuring our kitchen is both beautiful and efficient. By focusing on modern aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, we aim to create a space that enhances the charities facilities for the future.
Launched with the goal of transforming traditional kitchen spaces, the Game Changer project emphasizes sustainability, functionality, and style. Howdens are committed to providing solutions that cater to the evolving needs of modern clubs like ours, ensuring that every kitchen becomes a hub of activity and enjoyment.

2022
Project Inception
The idea to transform our outdated and defunct kitchen into a modern, efficient space was born, aiming to better serve our community.
2023
Design Phase
Due to contractual issues the project was delayed until the new trustees group were elected in 2024
2024
Funding Secured
The new trustee board working with Nunthorpe Athletic Football Club & the Football Foundation reapplied for funding , the application featured the charities 5 year plan to renvigorate the charity and provided necessary guarantees to allow the application to be suscessful.
2025
Construction Begins
After sucessful grant award the charity embarked the the renovation process, with a focus on sustainability and modern amenities. Meetings with designers at Howdens and several site visits along side buidling works to revamp the area were actioned
2026
Completion
The new kitchen is unveiled late June 2026, providing a state-of-the-art facility for our members and enhancing our community events.
