Notice of Intention to Lease Part of the Tennis Complex – Padel Development
Nunthorpe Marton Playing Fields Association (NMPFA) is issuing this notice, in line with Charity Commission guidance, to inform members and residents of its intention to lease a defined area within the existing tennis complex to a third-party operator, Padel Up (003 Ltd).
Padel Up (003 Ltd) is a specialist operator delivering padel facilities within established sports venues, working in partnership with landowners to introduce a fast-growing, inclusive sport that complements existing provision.
The proposal is to install three double padel courts and one single padel court on existing, partly redundant tennis courts on charity-owned land.
The courts would be covered by a canopy, enabling year-round use, and would remain fully within the current tennis complex footprint.
Ownership of the land will always remain with NMPFA.
The project would introduce a new, team-based sport to the charity, supporting participation, community engagement, and long-term sustainability.
NMPFA welcomes feedback from members and residents.
