The Nunthorpe & Marton Playing Fields Association (NMPFA) is delighted to announce that, in partnership with the Trees on Tees Community Forest it has successfully secured funding to enhance the playing fields originally donated by our founding benefactor, Lady Harrison.
This significant investment will see over 2,800 trees and bushes planted around the perimeter of the fields by Wildwood Trees Ltd, the approved contractor for the project. The planting scheme has been carefully designed to enhance biodiversity, improve drainage, and strengthen site security, ensuring long-term benefits for both the charity and the wider community.
Kelvin Bowes, Trust Secretary of NMPFA, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating:
“Working with local organisations is always rewarding, and we are particularly pleased with the support from Trees on Tees Community Forest who have been an absolute pleasure to collaborate with in securing this funding. This project will significantly enhance the area, not only for the charity but for the wider community for generations to come.
