Chris Foggin
Chair
Chris is a dedicated community leader in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. Beyond his trustee responsibilities, Chris has been instrumental in various community initiatives. He played a key role working towards Nunthorpe gaining a Community Centre, and previously led the “Nunthorpe in Bloom” project, coordinating community planting efforts to enhance the local environment. Chris’ professional background working in local government and multifaceted contributions underscore his commitment to enhancing both the civic and recreational life of the Nunthorpe, Marton and Ormesby communities.

Kelvin Bowes
Secretary
Kelvin has extensive experience in logistics and distribution, bringing deep industry knowledge and leadership to every role he undertakes.
A Freeman of York, Kelvin currently serves in a semi-retired capacity as National Supplies & Cluster Manager within Ramsay Health Care UK’s procurement and supply chain team, where he oversees key operations to ensure efficient supply management across multiple sites. Ramsay Health Care UK is one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England.

Wade Tovey MBE TC MSc
Vice-Chair
Wade, a dedicated community leader and advocate for social well-being in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. He serves as Chair of Nunthorpe Community Council and Vice Chair of Nunthorpe Parish Council, playing a pivotal role in local governance and community initiatives.
With a background as a former Colonel in the Territorial Army and a senior academic in social work at Teesside University, Wade brings a wealth of experience to his voluntary roles. He leads our Greenways (volunteers promoting green spaces and healthy living in Nunthorpe). He chairs the Trustees, Redcar and Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency and has been involved in various voluntary and charitable organizations over the years. Wade is committed with others to preserving the history of Nunthorpe through the History Group and edits the Greater Nunthorpe News (GNN) to share our history and much more, through effective community engagement.

Cllr Ian Morrish
Middlesbrough Borough Council Representative
Ian serves as an independent member of Middlesbrough Council, representing the Marton West ward. Elected in May 2023, he is the Deputy Group Leader of the Middlesbrough Independent Councillors Association (MICA). Councillor Morrish is actively involved in various council committees, including the Constitution and Members’ Development Committee, Corporate Affairs Committee, Planning and Development Committee and Standards Committee (Vice-Chair). Cllr Morrish is also an executive member of the Marton West Community Council. Councillor Morrish remains a dedicated advocate of the area working to address local concerns and enhance the community’s quality of life.

Cllr Morgan McClintock
Middlesbrough Borough Council Representative
Morgan, is a former academic lawyer and former Chair of Nunthorpe Parish Council. Morgan is a dedicated public servant and community advocate representing Nunthorpe on both Middlesbrough Council and Nunthorpe Parish Council. A member of the Liberal Democrats, he has been serving the community as a Ward Councillor since May 2023.
Morgan is actively involved in various council committees, including the Overview and Scrutiny Board and the People Scrutiny Panel. He also serves as a governor at Middlesbrough College and is a trustee of the Nunthorpe Institute. Additionally, Morgan is a member of the Ourgreenways, a group dedicated to promoting green spaces and healthy living in Nunthorpe. As a long-term resident of Nunthorpe, Morgan is deeply committed to enhancing the local community and ensuring that residents’ voices are heard.

Cllr Carole Morgan
Ormesby Ward Resident
Carole has served the Ormesby ward since 2016 and is the current leader of the Liberal Democrats on Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. She was Mayor of the borough from September 2020 to May 2022, during which she supported several local charities including Zoe’s Place, Eva Women’s Aid, Rubies and The Link Charitable Trust. With a 35-year background in education, specializing in modern foreign languages and support for SEND students, Carole brings a deep understanding of community needs to her role as a Ormesby resident. She remains actively involved in local initiatives such as the Friends of Nunthorpe Railway Station and the Esk Valley Railway Development Company, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to public service and community engagement.

Adrian Walker
Nunthorpe Parish Council Chairperson
Adrian is a dedicated community leader serving as Chair of Nunthorpe Parish Council. A lifelong resident of the area, he has been actively involved in local governance and community initiatives for many years. In addition to his role on the Parish Council, Adrian is a co-founder and the Treasurer of OurGreenways, a voluntary group committed to promoting green and healthy living in Nunthorpe.
Adrian has also been a founding member of the Middlesbrough Alternative Planning Partnership (MAPP), collaborating with various groups to ensure sustainable development in the region.
Beyond his environmental work, Adrian has a background in the office equipment industry and publishing, having retired. His diverse interests include book collecting and maintaining a small collection of vintage horticultural engines and equipment.

Donna Bell
Welfare Lead
Donna , based in Nunthorpe, has generously offered her support to the NMPFA charity as Welfare Lead. Her background in Education and commitment to this role underscores a dedication to community welfare and support.
Donna’s involvement is anticipated to bring valuable insights and energy to the organization’s welfare initiatives.

Pete Spaldin
Nunthorpe Ward Resident
Pete is a dedicated community volunteer and advocate for Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. Pete has served as both Vice Chair and Chair of the Nunthorpe Community Council, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and promoting the council’s social media presence and organizing community events, including litter-picking initiatives.
Professionally, Pete is an IT Enterprise Architect and a passionate aerial photographer, capturing stunning drone footage of local landmarks and events. His work has been featured in various community projects, showcasing his commitment to highlighting and preserving the beauty of Nunthorpe. Beyond his leadership roles, Pete is an active Committee member of the Nunthorpe Rackets Club, contributing to the club’s vibrant community.

Ian Bell
Marton Ward Resident
Ian is a dedicated community volunteer based in Marton, Middlesbrough, actively involved in promoting sports and recreational activities in the Nunthorpe area.
In addition to his trustee responsibilities, Ian is a committee member and squash coach at the Nunthorpe Squash Tennis Rackets Club. His involvement includes coaching, facility maintenance, and organizing club activities, reflecting his commitment to fostering grassroots sports and community engagement Professionally, Ian’s professional background is heavily involved in the Gas & Oil engineering sectors.

Denis Hutchinson
Recreation Club Representative
Denis represents the Recreation Club, and spent spent his working life in the NHS, first in the laboratory at Middlesbrough General Hospital & James Cook Hospital before moving into Health Informatics and Electronic Healthcare.
Denis represents the Recreation Club, ensuring that its members’ needs and perspectives are integrated into NMPFA’s planning and activities.

John Schaefer
Recreation Club Representative
John collaborates with Denis to advocate for the Recreation Club within the association, promoting inclusive and diverse recreational opportunities. John is an active figure in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, contributing to both local governance and community sports. He also serves as a member of the Nunthorpe Parish Council.

Eric Davidson
Quoits Club Representative
Eric Davison is a passionate advocate for Nunthorpe Quoits within the Nunthorpe Marton Playing Fields Association. Beyond his longstanding dedication to the sport, Eric is a keen musician who regularly performs with his group, Wrong Direction, at various charity and community events, using his talents to support and enrich the local area.

an Mohan brings a strong professional background in the plumbing and heating industry, combining technical expertise with years of hands-on experience. Dan is chairperson Nunthorpe Athletic Junior Football Club, where he contributes his passion for football and community development, helping to support and mentor young players.
